Region B is by far the toughest division in the state in D1, region C is a joke and Region D's first round games are not worth the price of admission. If JI Burton gets healthy before the CW game they could run the table and win the state title. It's hard to do something you've never done before, regardless of what people say if something goes bad early the losing mentality will set in. If Campbell and Burton play in the state title game it will be a great game, it's probably the best matchup for Burton imo. Campbell doesn't have the size that some of these other teams have, and it would be more of a speed game.

If Giles gets by round one, there state bound imo. They, much like Burton must get healthy to have a shot. Billy Cook's serivces will be needed for the Floyd game. I really think Floyd has a better chance at Giles this week than they would next week, we'll see. Gretna vs. Goochland will come down to Senior vs. Freshman, Senior and VT bound D.J. Coles squares of against Gretna's Freshman QB Nick Miller. I really think PV/Lebanon square off again, Lebanon is better up front than GC imo and neither team has shown that they will pass the ball in a big game. PV and Giles if it gets there will be much closer this year than last, but thats really not saying much. For PV to upset Giles, Cedric would have to throw for over 200 yards. They once again are big up front, but there pass defense is questionable. Floyd passed for like 280 yards against them in the regular season. Gretna vs. C/D will/would be a blowout imo, Region B is just so much better than the rest of the state right now, especially at the D2 level it's not even funny. I hate to say it but I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't take all three again, football, basketball, and baseball. Evidently Clarke County is going to be tough to handle in basketball. For the other divisions I pick the following to be state champions
D6: Westfield (Sean Glennon's Bro gets a ring)
D5: Phoebus
D4: Amherest
D3: Monticello (D3 is the worst division in the state)
96 schools remain in this years VHSL playoffs and only 6 will win it all, a great four weeks are ahead of us all.
